The principle requires the truths of faith and morality are not only communicated truly according to the Gospel, but also in the way that the primary (central) truths are preached and experienced in devotion primarily and the secondary (minor) secondarily. The principle has been very much appreciated by the Pope Francis in the Apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium.
