This perspective of hope may be termed as the “new spring” of the Church. One should underline that the “new spring” of the Church is rather the programme which the Church is to carry out, not the statement of the actual state of affairs. The programme is expressed at the moment by the new evangelization whose essence is to preach “the Gospel which is always new and always bearing novelty” (VS 106). That Gospel is directed to the regeneration of both the Church and the world. The source of hope in social life is merciful love, one that forms “the imagination of mercy”, which enables to create a new civilization – the civilization of love, a civilization that corresponds to the personal dignity of man and his vocation to love.plAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Polandhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/pl/nowa wiosna KościołaWielki Jubileusz Roku 2000nadziejaewangelizacjanowa ewangelizacjacywilizacja miłościmiłośćtrzecie tysiąclecienew spring of the ChurchGreat Jubilee of the Year 2000hopeevangelizationnew evangelizationcivilization of lovelovethird millenniumKościółChurchTrzecie tysiąclecie „nową wiosną” KościołaThe Third Millennium as a “New Spring” of the ChurchArticle
