He was a zealous apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He saw in it an efficient way to achieve holiness. Especially he recommended this cult to priests. They are the guides on the way to sanctification of God’s people. This grace and the task they received from God is possible thanks to personal holiness. Among the many ways of achieving perfection, a special place has the worshipping of the Heart of Jesus. St. Joseph Sebastian in his works indicated that this cult is a simple way to salvation for a priest and the worshippers entrusted to him. Personal practice of the Sacred Heart cult transforms a priest on model of Jesus Christ. It also makes, resulting from the source of Divine Love which is the Eucharist, he becomes an authentic guide for the worshippers. The priests propagating this worship and caring about it help themselves and the worshippers in achieving eternal happiness.
