His most remarkable achievements are inextricably related to the reception of the Scandinavian drama in Poland exhibiting a close focus on Strinberg’s literary output, on different forms of religious drama and the history of Lublin Theatre. Most of the Reverend’s publications were centred on these issues and constituted contributing factors in further studies undertaken by his seminar participants. Not only was the Reverend Professor Lewko a highly regarded academic, but also a committed educator. Many students of the Catholic University of Lublin vividly remember him as a patient teacher whose most cherished ambition was to provide them with adequate spiritual and intellectual development. He will be forever remembered as an indefatigable initiator of summer walking tours and a remarkable person graced with unprecedented sensitivity.polCC-BY-ND - Uznanie autorstwa - Bez utworów zależnychMarian LewkoKatedra Dramatu i Teatru KULteatrologiadramaturgia skandynawskatwórczość Strindbergadramatliteraturoznawstwodziałalność naukowaliteratura dramatycznateatrteatrolodzyDepartment of Drama and Theatre of Catholic University of Lublintheatre studiesScandinavian dramaturgyStrindberg’s worksdramaliterary studiesscientific activitiesdramatic literaturetheatretheatre scholarsObszary naukowych zainteresowań Księdza Profesora Mariana LewkiAreas of Scientific Interests of the Reverend Professor Marian LewkoArticle
