Chrystologia Johna Wesleya i Josepha Ratzingera/Benedykta XVI

Abstract

John Wesley i Joseph Ratzinger upatrują zbawienie w Osobie Jezusa Chrystusa. Swoją wiarę opierają na życiu i dziele Jezusa z Nazaretu, który dla człowieka wierzącego w Boga Trójjedynego jest zarazem zapowiadamy przez Stary Testament Mesjaszem – Chrystusem. W refleksji teologicznej przyznają prymat Pismu Świętemu, które powinno być badane w świetle w Tradycji, potwierdzone przez rozum i ożywione osobistym doświadczeniem, które znajduje swoją pełnię w Liturgii, zwłaszcza w sakramencie Eucharystii. Zarówno Wesley jak i Ratzinger przez cale życie zajmowali się Osobą Jezusa Chrystusa poszukując w Nim na ile to możliwe zrozumienia tego, co nigdy dla człowieka nie będzie do końca zbadane, poznane i zrozumiałe. Stawiając w swoim życiu na prymat Ukrzyżowanego i Zmartwychwstałego w świetle czworoboku: Pismo Święte, Tradycja, rozum i doświadczenie/Liturgia usiłowali zgłębić tajemnicę Boga objawioną w Jezusie Chrystusie. Spojrzenia Wesleya i Ratzingera na Pismo Święte, Tradycję i rozum są zbieżne oraz wzajemnie się uzupełniające pomimo odległości w czasie i przestrzeni, które dzielą obu teologów. W kwestii ostatniego z wierzchołków czworoboku – doświadczenia/Liturgii – można dostrzec bardziej różne rozłożenie akcentów aniżeli różnice w myśli teologicznej. Wesley kładzie nacisk na osobiste doświadczenie spotkania Jezusa Chrystusa potwierdzone w życiu codziennym. Ratzinger akcentuje Liturgię, jako drogę prowadząca do osobistego spotkania z Ukrzyżowanym i Zmartwychwstałym. Dla obu ważna jest społeczność Kościoła, w którym kształtowana i budowana jest wiara w oparciu o rzeczywiste spotkanie z Panem w sakramencie Wieczerzy Pańskiej.John Wesley and Joseph Ratzinger seek salvation in the person of Jesus Christ. Their faith is based on the life and work of Jesus of Nazareth, which for the believer in God Triune is also announcing by the Old Testament Messiah-Christ. In theological reflection will grant the primacy of Holy Scripture, which should be examined in the light of tradition, confirmed by reason and enlivened by personal experience that finds its fulfillment in the liturgy, especially in the sacrament of the Eucharist. Both Wesley and Ratzinger by life was a person of Jesus Christ, seeking in it as much as possible understanding of what ever for the man will not be the end of the researched, understood and understandable. Putting in their life on the primacy of the crucified and risen in the light of the quadrilateral: Scripture, tradition, reason and experience/Liturgy tried to penetrate the mystery of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Wesley and Ratzinger looks on Sacred Scripture, Tradition and reason are consistent and complementary, despite the distances in time and space, both theologians. On the issue of the last of the vertices of the quadrilateral – experience/Liturgy – we can see more different distribution of accents rather than differences in theological thought. Wesley’s emphasis on personal experience of meeting Jesus Christ confirmed in everyday life. Ratzinger accentuates the liturgy, as the way leading to a personal encounter with the Crucified and Risen. For both it is important that the community of the Church, in which shaped and built the faith is based on a true encounter with the Lord in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.
