Abstrakt
The paper describes philosophical significance of the Anthropic Principle formulated by Brandon Carter in 1973. The analyses are focused mainly on the weak Anthropia Principle which informs that the observed values of all physical and cosmological quantities are not equally probable, but they take on values restricted by the requireiment that the.re exisit sities where icarbon-baised life can evolve, and by the requirement that the Universe be old enough for it to have already done so. After critical appraisal of teleological and strong versions of the Anthropic Principle, the author tries to interpret ontologically the regularities characterised by the Weak Anthropic Principle. The interpretation proposed remains consistent both with Leibniz's theory of the pre-established harmony and Whitehead's process metaphysics.
