Abstract

Autor artykułu bada znaczenie ciała w duchowości błogosławionego Karola de Foucauld. Pokazuje godność ludzkiego ciała stworzonego na obraz i podobieństwo Boga. Ta godność niepomiernie wzrosła dzięki wcieleniu Słowa i całemu dziełu odkupienia. Tekst podkreśla także znaczenie Mistycznego Ciała Chrystusa i Eucharystii w duchowości chrześcijańskiej. Wszystko to stanowi element „cielesnego” doświadczenia Boga, które to doświadczenia wymaga odpowiedniej ascezy.The author of the article investigates the meaning of the body in the spirituality of blessed Charles de Foucauld. He shows the dignity of the human body created in the image and likeness of God. This dignity has grown immeasurably through the incarnation of the Word and the whole act of redemption. The text also emphasizes the importance of the Mystical Body of Christ and of the Eucharist in the Christian spirituality. All this constitutes an element of the corporal experience of God, which requires an adequate asceticism.
