Abstrakt
The article deals with the term of transformational unity, as described in the contemporary analysis of St. John of the Cross. The transformational unions a focus of spiritual growth. It refers directly to the degree of love which by means of the inner transformation originating in the resemblance to God the Father puts in use the union with God. This is the perfect transformating and uniting communion with God the Creator. The article develops into an analysis of passivity, activity and freedom as the main characteristics of mistical experience and closes with a review of their results. Christian life is by nature of mystical and contemplational character, as a result of baptism and the acts of the Holy Spirit. Christian life is thus based on the vocation to an intimate relations with God. It is God who approaches man actively and the human answer should come as a passive submission to God’s action.
