Abstract

The young man goes through some preparative stages for life in marriage and family. They are made up of his maturation and readiness to make permanent decisions. Now aside to the family, the Church and school the mass media have become important in this process. They fulfil not only entertaining and informative functions but also educational. Now when preparation for marriage and family is at stake, such values are important that determine a concrete model of marriage and family. It is interesting to know which models of marital life and preferred by young people at the stage of a closer and direct preparation for life in marriage and family. How important are their age and living circumstances in this choice? The studies presented in this paper become an additional point for further analyses and considerations how to bring the Christian model of marriage and family to those are preparing themselves for marriage.
