The Annunciation in a groundbreaking way began the active role of Mary in the communional economy of salvation. Thanks to this, a ‘saving environment’ was created in her and a hypostatic union took place. In the Annunciation, the Holy Trinity appeared clearly for the first time, becoming the source of the communional blessing for Mary and all people. Communional obedience of the faith of Mary showed her cooperation with God’s grace and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. As Abraham’s faith was the beginning of the Old Covenant, so the faith of Mary became the beginning of the communion of the New Covenant.
