Pozycja Ecumenical Epoch of the Blessed Pope John Paul IIKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2011)Over a quarter of a year of the pontificate of blessed Pope John Paul II constitutes the whole ecumenical epoch, filled by intensive ecumenical doctrinal dialogues, events and encounters. John Paul II – who ascended the Petrine See 13 years after the Second Vatican Council – like his predecessor Pope Paul VI undertook the conciliar deed of restoring the Christian unity. John Paul II launched the ecumenical dialogue of the Roman Catholic Church with Orthodoxy. During his apostolic visits to various countries often met the heads of non Catholic Churches and Church Communities. He also frequently received in Vatican representatives of Christian non Roman Catholic world. John Paul II also laid the foundations for the ecumenical dialogue drawing its main lines in his encyclical letters Redemptor hominis and Ut unum sint. Pope did not hesitate to describe the ecumenical engagement as an “imperative of Christian conscience”. The blessed Pope was acting according to his conviction expressed in his apostolic letter Novo millennio ineunte that theological discussions, cooperation in charity initiatives and above all the great ecumenism of sanctity cannot fail, but with God’s help will bring good results. By his pontificate he confirmed and strengthened the Roman Catholic Church on its ecumenical path of rebuilding the visible unity.Pozycja Ekumeniczna analiza Katechizmu Kościoła KatolickiegoKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2013)Pozycja Konstytucja apostolska Benedykta XVI „Anglicanorum coetibus” i jej implikacje dla życia wspólnoty anglikańskiejKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2010)The article describes the new situation created by the publication of pope Benedict XVI’s Apostolic constitution “Anglicanorum coetibus”. As first there is a depiction of key-notions in Anglican theology, as well as the explanation where so called ‘Anglican traditionalists’ come from. In the next part the Author describes the situation of internal divisions in Anglican Communion caused by controversies over women’s ordination (in the past) and gay ordination and marriage (at present). On the basis of these statements the Author explains why the apostolic constitution “Anglicanorum coetibus” has been necessary and whom is it really addressed to. Then, we find the brief presentation of the content of “Anglicanorum coetibus”, followed by the description of first reactions from Anglican protagonists and adversaries of the papal document. The article next portrays the initiative of Anglican Global South as a response to regrettable developments in Anglican Communion. According to the Author the life-long solution for Anglicans may come with wide-spread adoption of the Anglican Covenant, strongly supported by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The solution opened by the papal constitution will probably atract only a small (about 0,5% of Anglican population) group of above named traditionalists. The article is summed-up by a bitter reflection about the lack of care for Christian unity in controversial decision-making by some Anglican (especially ECUSA) and protestant Churches.Pozycja Ksiądz Profesor Leonard Górka SVDKantyka, Przemysław; Koza, Stanisław Józef; Labudda, Alfons; Pawłowski, Sławomir (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2009)Pozycja Luter według BultmannaKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2010)Pozycja W poszukiwaniu nowotestamentalnego modelu Kościoła. Elementy eklezjologii baptystycznej i zaczątki dialogu z baptystami o KościeleKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2013)The article depicts the elements of Baptist ecclesiology such as: nature and structure of the Church, baptism in relation to the Church membership, understanding of the Lord’s Supper and of the ministry in the Church. At the end there’s an outline of the first fruits of the official Baptist-Roman Catholic dialogue on the world level concerning ecclesiology. For Baptists the pattern of the Church is a local congregation gathered by Holy Spirit in the obedience to the word of God. Such a local gathering is totally independent and any higher forms of organization or unions do not represent a higher form of ecclesiality. The Baptists practice the baptism of adults only, as the profession of faith must be prior to the baptism, which does not create any new reality in a faithful nor cleanse of the original sin. In the Lord’s Supper a faithful while consuming bread and wine not transformed anyhow, receives by faith the benefits coming from the vicarious sacrifice of Christ. The ministers in the Church – deacons and presbyters – are instituted in a non-sacramental rite of ordination. The most of congregations present only men for ordination. The official dialogue between Baptists and Roman Catholics produced up to now only one document. In the field of ecclesiology the statement contains mainly enumeration of divergences. For this reason it seems obvious that Baptist-Roman Catholic talks will not lead in the near future to the instauration of the full communion between our two Communities.Pozycja W trosce o apostolską wiaręKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2009)Pozycja What Happened to “Sola Scriptura”? How the Bible Was Used in the Fight for Women Priest and Bishops in the Anglican CommunionKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2012)In the article Author examines the traditional meaning of the formula sola Scriptura in the Anglican Church in the epoch of Reformation and confronts it with now-a-days use of the Bible in the process of decision-making in the matter of Church life and doctrine. The sample of this process is the adoption of women’s priestly and episcopal ordination in the Anglican Communion and especially in the Church of England. Christian denominations being reciprocally connected, the decisions taken in one confession do matter for the rest of the Christendom. This is proved by the substantial change introduced in the Anglican-Roman Catholic dialogue by the unilateral decisions of Anglicans to ordain women. The questioned decisions were taken however on the improper hermeneutics of biblical texts and on the presuppositions leading to dangerous intellectual short-cut. Thus the line of argumentation issued by Anglicans from the Bible omits what the Roman Catholic really stands for. The equal dignity of men and women proved by the biblical texts has never been denied by the Catholics. The argument important for the Catholics that the Church cannot change the will of Christ towards ordination has been simply by-passed by moving this subject from divine to human law.
