We are concern here: on one hand with the content of the youth catechesis, and on the other hand with the language and method of teaching. It seems to be necessary to deprat from such model of catechesis which manifest Christianity as religion of surrender and self – denial. According to many authors we have to overcome still functioning this kind of vision of Christian life which is manifested as negation of the fullness of life. Important and primary task of catechesis is giving help to young people in finding out once own identity and the purpose of his life. Teaching religion in such a way that helps young people in uncovering their own identity and the purpose of live is the best and fullest service one can offer to the searching minds of young people. Hence, catechesis ought to lead not only to trehe acceptance of life but also to the manifestation of its purpose. Another task of good catechesis is to give help in finding out the integral points between God’s Revelation and the life of each contemporary human being. In the face of increasing secularization and dechristianization of human life it is a great need of precatechesis, which prepares those who are catechized for the acceptance of eternal and saving truth in some of the western countries. This style of catechesis has already been perceived in the sixties of our century. The greatest need of has been becoming in the catechization of contemporary youth.Pozycja Katechizm Siedlecki.
