Autor czyni rozróżnienia: – ze względu na święcenia kapłańskie: szafarz ze święceniami lub bez święceń; – w porządku prawnym: zwyczajny szafarz, którego służba należy do autorytetu lokalnego kościoła, albo szafarz nadzwyczajny, którego posługa uzależniona jest od potrzeb i sprawowana jest na podstawie delegacji; – w aspekcie dogmatycznym: pierwszym i najważniejszym szafarzem jest Chrystus, a drugim dopiero człowiek.

This article is concerned with the theological beginnings of music in the liturgy and is trying to approach basics of formation of the early Christian liturgies and music in the first centuries of Church’s existence. The Old Testament and New Testament’s testimonies to liturgy are used as a basis for this article. The fact, that the vocal expressions in the music of Christians of early centuries had priority, is witnessed by many testimonies as well as by this study. This is reflected especially in singing psalms and hymns and in other influences on the early Christian liturgy.

Artykuł dotyczy badań pontyfikatu papieża Benedykta XVI i jego wkładu w dziedzinę liturgii. Wskazano różne okoliczności liturgii rozwoju w duchu autentyczności i wierności, możliwości kształtu obrzędów liturgicznych, nowe motu proprio („z własnej woli”) oraz na wykorzystanie języka łacińskiego w liturgii zachodniej. W tekście odnajdujemy również stan pontyfikatu papieża Benedykta XVI w odniesieniu do posługi duszpasterskiej w parafiach. Stan badań wskazuje, że liturgia w swojej różnorodności jest zawsze autentyczna i wierna orędziu Chrystusa.

This contribution deals with the use of the common liturgical acclamation of Christians in the antiquity. Contribution brings us near to the ways of expressing the liturgy from the early times of the Church history to date, describes the liturgical answers. The liturgy like the honoring of obligatory cult for God is also evolving the word statements which are portending the message of redemption. These short statements are the stable part of all types of the worships and very often are connected with the historical origin. In the sphere of the religious profession is also added to them contextual exactness which renders to the acclamations practically the merit of the verification. From among the fundamental acclamations, which have the origins already in the beginnings of Ecclesia, this is the contents of this contribution.

Christian spirituality was perceived differently in the whole history of Church. When we look at the spiritual heritage of Christianity, a special position is given to a unique spiritual and geographic locality – the state of monks – Athos peninsula. It is a beautiful place where no woman has ever entered. This contribution aims to describe and interpret the religious heritage of this spiritually unique place. It is perceived as a protected area and the centre of eastern spirituality. It will be described on the basis of Church history as well as on the basis of personal experience of the author who visited Mount Athos and scientifically explored the sources.

Artykuł pragnie dać obraz pontyfikatu obecnego papieża w relacji do duszpasterskiej posługi w parafiach. Chce ukazać, że liturgia w jej różnorodności nie jest nigdy krokiem wstecz, ale przejawem autentyczności i wierności względem orędzia Chrystusa.
Status of the Christian liturgy at the end of antiquity in Europe – historical and liturgical aspect

The article presents the a brief overview of the liturgy at the end of antiquity (5th–7th centuries). The author introduces the reader to the political situation of the empire in the late fifth and sixth centuries. Then presents a celebration of the Mass at the end of the 6th century, and in the 7th century. The rest of this article lists the sources from this period: Sacramentarium Veronense, Gelasianum Vetus, books for lectors and books of chants. The article concludes with the celebration of the liturgy according to the Ordo Romanus Primus.

The Cecilian Reform in the Church Music – Positive or Redundant?

Prezentowany artykuł podejmuje kwestię cecyliańskiej reformy muzyki kościelnej. Autor w tytule stawia pytanie, czy oddziaływała ona pozytywnie na relację muzyka - liturgia czy też była zbyteczna. Zainicjowanie w XIX w. ruchu cecyliańskiego wiąże się właśnie z nierozstrzygniętą ówcześnie kwestią wzajemnego oddziaływania na siebie liturgii i muzyki oraz miejsca muzyki w liturgii. To, co dziś po Soborze Watykańskim II jest oczywiste, było w XIX w. zagadnieniem, które ze szczególnym upodobaniem podejmowano głównie w krajach niemieckojęzycznych. Autor artykułu wychodząc od skrótowego wytłumaczenia pojęcia „cecylianizm”, opisuje z kolei początki tego ruchu oraz jego główne postaci, charakteryzuje także stan ówczesnej muzyki wykonywanej podczas liturgicznych celebracji. Po takim chronologiczno-faktograficznym ujęciu, autor przystępuje do konkluzji. Wskazuje on, iż już pod koniec aktywności cecylianistów uważano, że muzyka kościelna, rozumiana jako część liturgii, musi być niejako w zgodzie ze wspólnotą, miejscem, okazją i kulturą, ale także ze wszystkimi elementami liturgii, które budują i konstytuują jedność wspólnoty zgromadzonej na Eucharystii. Niestety trendy odnowy promowane przez cecylianistów spowodowały także, że muzyka kościelna odseparowała się od ówczesnych nurtów twórczości muzycznej.
The Status of the Liturgy in the Christian East and Liturgical Differentiations

These types of liturgies and liturgical rites show us the richness that is present in the Christian East and West. They are the liturgical traditions of the Church, which preserves the continuity of the Christian liturgical tradition from the perspective of historical context in the environment where Christians live. Despite the glory of Constantinople, the Eastern Churches have preserved their own liturgies and rites. Although they are in smaller number, they are nonetheless still preserved in the liturgy despite circumstances hostile to Christianity and the influence of Islam. Local traditions in the West were gradually vanishing and the Roman liturgy had to confront life in Gallia. The celebration of the liturgy in the West according to the Roman model in the city of Rome and in areas under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Roman was preserved in the Latin Church until the beginning of the eighth century. Then there came a very important breaking point when the focus of the culturalpolitical and Church life was moved from the Mediterranean area into the German and especially Frankish areas north of Alps. This led to the enormous spread of the influence of Roman liturgy, but, on the other hand, the Roman liturgy was merged with non-Roman liturgical traditions. This was the period of Christian Middle Ages.
