The Franciscan parish choir of Przemyśl arose in the summer of 1952. The activities of this group can be divide into three periods: the first between the years 1952-1960. It was the time when the choir organized the band and repertoire. The second period covers the years 1960-1968 and it is a time of vocal maturity as well as a large number of concerts both in the Franciscan church and beyond. The third and last period of the band were the years 1968- 1997. At that time, the Franciscan choir upholds the singing tradition form of the previous period, but reduces the number of its members makes the team slowly ceases liturgical and artistic activity. Choir directors were: Władysław Guzek /1952-1960/, Fr. Leander Drożdżal /1960-1968/, Jan Niemiec /1968-1970/ and Zofia Jabłecka /1970-1997/. The choir’s repertoire was characterized by a large variety of works in terms of form, the musie, the degree of difficulty and subject matter. The repertoire consisted of 625 items vocals, which showed a rich musical achievements of this team. The Franciscan choir actively tum on the parish celebrations singing every Sunday of the liturgical year, and during such festivity like: Paschal Triduum, Feast of Corpus Christi, Feast of St. Vincent patron saint of Przemyśl, Ali Saints, novena of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Christmas, St. Stephen's Day, Celebration Mother of God. The activities of the choir was completed in 1997, the 45th anniversary of its existence.
