Aktywna polityka społeczna wobec rodzin wielodzietnych
Koperek, Jerzy; Koperek, Adam (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2014)
The article takes issues regarding active social policy towards families with many children. This will present the fundamental aspects of social assistance and social work in favor of large families. Large families is a term that is defined differently in the literature. This depends on the object of interest of the scientific sub-discipline, the theoretical criteria or research approach. Differentiated understanding of these concepts is on the ground of social policy, demography, sociology, psychology and pedagogy. The common element of these shots is treating large family as the basic unit of society, having the right to appropriate social, legal, economic protection. The problem of the active social policy towards large families is presented in the context of the following issues: 1. Social policy towards large families understood as a matter of state investment in human capital; 2 Social assistance and social work towards large families; 3. Assistance strategy for a large family.

Poszanowanie prawa do własności prywatnej wyzwaniem dla pracy socjalnej
Koperek, Jerzy; Koperek, Adam (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2012)
Solving of the social issues is one of the goals of social work and at the same time it constitutes an important challenge for this work. This objective is accomplished by respecting the principles of human rights and social justice. In this field the social workers apply the method of operation appropriate to social work. The three classical methods of social work include: work with the individual case, work in groups and work for the organization of society, i.e. environmental method. In Polish conditions, it is noted that the most popular of the classical methods of social work is a method of working with the individual case, and the least is developed a social work for the organization of society. Hence, we take the analysis of social issues that require the use of this method of social work. In this context, we also see the need for activation of society by respect for the right to private property, which is a challenge for social work and certainly fulfills the criteria for the common good.

Prawa dziecka a problem głodu w zglobalizowanym świecie
Koperek, Jerzy; Koperek, Adam (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2011)
Children’s rights, like women’s rights, should be treated as human rights. The basic right of the child, together with the right to life, is the right to food and freedom from hunger. However, it appears that securing the children’s rights is one of the important global issues in the contemporary world. Statistics report alarming information about starving children, among whom 15 million human beings die from hunger every year. The issue is undoubtedly important in the context of broad global problems facing the world today. At the same time it reflects the need to protect human rights, starting from the most vulnerable human beings, namely children deprived of the possibility to live and develop. The present study considers these matters in the context of the following issues: 1. Children’s rights protection in the international documents; 2. Children’s hunger as a global problem; 3. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the struggle against hunger and malnutrition among children; 4. Social justice and solidarity as the basis for anti-hunger campaign in the world.
