Pozycja Bonatywna funkcja Kościoła a współczesna kulturaKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2003)The paper develops argumentation in favour of the bonative function of the Church. It shows that the Church of its nature does good both in the supernatural and natural order. According to the will of Jesus Christ, its Founder, the Church conveys supernatural goods, preaches the Gospel, that is, arouses faith and makes it more profound, administers the holy sacraments, unifies with God, grants the grace of deification to man, shows the sense of life. Similarly, in the contemporary order the Church builds and spreads Christian culture, bringing values typical of this religion, does charitable works, takes care about the lonely, the sick (hospices), the disabled. Such works are derived from the motives of faith and love, and they belong to the good activities of the Church and make it credible as the Church of Jesus Christ. By stressing these functions of the Church, fundamental theology draws from them some premisses that speak on behalf of its credibility within the frameworks of the so-called bonative argumentation. The paper sought to show one of the aspects of the bonative function of the Church, the one that is made manifest mainly in its care about the sick and dying. This aspect of the charitable activity of the Church has been chosen as a subject matter of analysis, for it is one of the most spectacular trends of its ministry, such that contributes to the creation of the moral good and moral culture, broadly understood. Through these actions, the Church stands in opposition to contemporary lay culture, defined as post-modernist, the culture that pushes the old and sick man into the margins of social life. Instead it advocates the “cult” of the strong, healthy, and young.Pozycja Człowiek drogą Kościoła – Kościół drogą człowieka w nauczaniu Jana Pawła IIKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 1996)Pozycja Duchowość misyjna w „Redemptoris missio” Jana Pawła IIKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2007)The author has devoted his paper to the issue of missionary spirituality in the light of John Paul II’s encyclical Redemptoris missio. It is the first document of the Church ranked so high which takes an exhaustive approach to the issue in question. The problem of missionary spirituality has been discussed in this paper in three points: as the necessity of missionary spirituality, its specific character, and dimensions (such as submissiveness to the Holy Spirit, internal unification and imitation of Christ, love and “sense” of the Church, prayer and contemplation, asceticism, pastoral love, service to the truth, ability to witness, and desire for holiness.Pozycja Dziejowy wymiar posługi św. Józefa a Kościół na podstawie adhortacji apostolskiej Jana Pawła II „Redemptoris custos”Krzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2007)The paper shows the ministry of St. Joseph in the salvific work of the Incarnate Word and His Church. The author has analysed John Paul Il’s apostolic adhortation Redemptoris custos in order to focus on the Guardian of the Holy Family as an antidote against the errors dehumanising Jesus Christ. He explained the Lord God prepared a special place for St. Joseph in His plans, and what it means that He made him a witness and a tool through which God’s promises have been fulfilled.Pozycja Ecclesia communicans. Kulturowe aspekty relacji Kościoła do środków masowej komunikacjiKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2007)Using the mass media in the work of evangelisation, the Church made this issue topical during the proceedings of Vatican Council II. A sign of this interest was the decree Inter mirifica issued in 1963. Some time later another document was published. This time it was the instruction Communio et progressio (1977) written by the Papal Council for the Mass Media. The most recent documents in this area include Orientamenti, worked out by the Congregation of Catholic Formation and Seminaries (1986), and the instruction Aetatis novae of 1992. The paper depicts the cultural aspects of the relation between the Church and the media, starting from their negation to their recognition as means of evangelisation. The author elicits from the Magisterium Ecclesiae some postulates with regard to the application of the media in the Church’s mission. Following the Second Vatican Council, he points at the threats that may be associated with the new means of evangelisation.Pozycja Ecclesia culturata ‒ Ecclesia culturans. Tożsamość kulturowa KościołaKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2006)In the article the problem is tackled, whether the Church as a creator of culture can also be created by it. It is shown that the Church cannot function beside or outside culture, it should enter a creative dialog with it; hence it is justified to talk about the Church’s cultural identity. In order to outline the problem of the Church’s cultural identity an analysis is made of the cultural “present time”, in which the Church lives and acts, and directives concerning the cultural future of the Church are given. This problem must be tackled constantly, for researchers talk about identity crisis and about disintegration of identity because of the schizophrenic character of contemporary culture. Every epoch brings new problems connected with the Church’s co-existence with particular cultures, as the Church is not a museum that one can admire or look at its past with the feeling of nostalgia in order to remember what good and useful things it did, but it is a living Divine-human institution stimulating the struggle of definite people in their striving to achieve their heavenly homeland. Hence, the Church cannot be afraid of contacts with even most tangled contemporary pluralist and pluriform culture specified by geopolitics, great religions, different systems and forms of syncretism, or by the level to which various peoples and nations are advanced.Pozycja Ekumeniczne implikacje soborowego wyrażenia „subsistit in” w świetle „Odpowiedzi na pytania dotyczące niektórych aspektów nauki o Kościele” Kongregacji Nauki WiaryKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2008)In the present article the author discusses the document issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Answers to the Questions Concerning Some Aspects of the Science on the Church (Responso ad quaestiones) of 29 June 2007. In it the Congregation confirms au thenticity and the meaning of earlier pronouncements on the interpretation of the term subsistit in. After reminding the history of the use of the term subsistit in the author discusses the problem of the degree to which Responso ad quaestiones are obligatory against the background of other doctrinal pronouncements of the Church, as well as the implications of this term.Pozycja Kościół a kultura w pierwszych wiekach chrześcijaństwaKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2002)The problems considered in the present article go back to the roots of Christianity and to fitting the Gospel into the existing cultures: Jewish, Hellenic, Roman and Syrian ones, which was being done by the Church and had important consequences. The process, that was called inculturation, was connected with the kenosis of the Gospel, but it was necessary then and it has always been necessary for the Church to function at the proper level and to develop, while having a creative dialogue with people who are yet not faithful. The article presents various antagonistic positions taken by Christian thinkers in the first five centuries, affirming or rejecting the work of particular cultures and the favourable consequence – humanizing the culture – resulting from that clash of views.Pozycja Kościół w funkcji kulturotwórczejKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 1998)Pozycja Kościół wiarygodny dziś w nauczaniu Jana Pawła IIKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 1994)Because of the contestation of the contemporary Church the arguments for its credibility should be presented once again. This is mainly the Pope’s task. John Paul II meets the challange of our times showing the Church as a divine-human reality transcending human comprehension. Presenting his teaching about the Church he mainly uses the Second Vatican Council categories such as: the Mystical Body, sacrament, community. The category of community seems to be valorized in a special way by John Paul II. This allows him to show the Church as an „environment” in which faith, hope and love are the leading categories; in which a communion of Divine and human persons is realized; and where there is a synergy of all charismata and the spirit of advent is constantly experienced. The category of the Mystical Body allows the Pope to show a Church that is radically oriented towards Christ in whom it finds the basis of its existence. The category of the sacrament applied to the Church allows the Pope to present the Church as a place where a universal salutary will is realized through its visible structures. The Church is a sign that God gives people calling them to gather together in His Son by the power of the Holy Spirit. In the sacrament the sign fulfils the function of a transparent designed to show the reality of the mystery, and in the same way the Church is a transparent of the onthological connection between itself and Christ.Pozycja Ks. The years preceding the Vatican Council II were marked by a progressing crisis of moral culture; hence undertaking this issue was an urgent need for the Council Fathers. Moral theology of that period, with its casuistry and the individualist concept of morality seemed to have only a slight influence on Christian life. The aim of the Council intervention in the domain of morality was not only a moral revival of the human person, but first of all presentation of the communal aspects of morality. The subject of analyses in the present article is the issue of diagnosis of the state of moral culture in the doctrine of the Vatican Council II and showing the role of the Church in the forming of the moral good and the norms of universal morality in the post-Council period as a certain dialog between the Church and the modern moral culture.Pozycja Kulturowe uwarunkowania adhortacji apostolskiej Jana Pawła II „Ecclesia in Europa”Krzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)The author of the article analyzes John Paul II’s adhortation Ecclesia in Europa with respect to the Church’s role of creating culture in Europe. He first focuses his attention on the Pope’s diagnosis of cultural facts, among which he discusses anthropology without God, the so-called “silent apostasy”, and Europe’s loss of memory and of the Christian heritage. Next culture of death, that is condemned by the Pope is analyzed. The author shows that John Paul II notices in Europe a new type of culture that is being born. It is mainly created by mass media. It is contrary to the Gospel and to the dignity of the human person. Religious agnosticism, ever more intensive moral and legal relativism, and a loss of the revealed truth about man are its most characteristic features. This type of culture is classified by the Pope as “culture of death” The next issue touched upon in the article is the hope connected with the Pope’s vision of Europe in the 3rd millennium. John Paul II points to re-building the family, the state, and creating the culture of life.Pozycja Kulturowy wymiar misjologii pastoralnejKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2003)The paper seeks to show the subject matter, the tasks, the aim and the method of pastoral missiology. First, the author portrays the discipline against other theological sciences, and then he clarifies its specific character. He explains that the reason for the existence of pastoral missiology is the Great Missionary Ordinance of Christ (Mt 28:16-20). This ordinance was carried out by the preachers of the Good News sent to pagans by the Church. With time scientific reflection was established called missiology. The message of God is written into the realities of human culture, thus any missionary activity has an incultural character. This truth is especially taken into account by the Papal Missionary Deeds.Pozycja Misje „ad gentes” w kontekście religii pozachrześcijańskich w świetle posoborowej teologiiKrzyszowski, Zbigniew (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2005)The author tackles the issue of crisis of missions caused by the Council breakthrough connected with recognition of the salutary value of non-Christian religions by the Church. He shows the various attitudes theologians have taken to the problem – the inclusivist one, the exclusivist one, and the pluralist one. In the final part of the article he presents the documents of the Church undertaking the problem of salvation in Christianity and in other religions that help missionaries form a proper view of non-Christian religions.Pozycja Profesor dr hab.
