Less attention has been given to the role of the media present during the liturgy in our churches (books, microphones, new media). Since its beginnings, Christian liturgies were impossible without written texts (manuscripts are the first media). Without the press invented by Johannes Gutenberg the Luther’s Reformation would fail – and the Tridentine reform of the liturgy would be impossible. In the 20th century, the microphone has modified the liturgy: yet its effects, observed in 1974 by M. McLuhan, didn’t interest liturgists. The Church in 21 st century has to face a new phenomenon: new media (like smartphones or iPads) intrude into liturgy, trying to replace the “old” media (books).Pozycja „Obce ciało” – Krzysztofa Zanussiego dotknięcie mistykiLis, Marek (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2016)Krzysztof Zanussi in his films has been exploring several themes from ethical and theological perspectives. His recent film, “Obce ciało” (“Foreign Body”), an analysis of conflict between faith in God and atheism and between a modem multinational corporation, symbolized by Kris, and Angelo, a man faithful to his catholic convictions, is in fact a story on dark night of the soul, described by St. John of the Cross. Main figures of the film are experiencing presence or absence of God: for Angelo, sure of his faith, serious doubts come when his close friend Kasia decides to become a nun. For Adam, struggling for his father’s life, who refuses image of God lacking of mercy, an unexpected answer comes: a miracle saves the life of his father. Zanussi’s philosophical-anthropological treatise, with theological foundations, reveals not only possible attitudes of his protagonists towards God, but suggests also how God can act in their lives.Pozycja Obraz Maryi w filmie religijnymLis, Marek (Polskie Towarzystwo Mariologiczne, 2009)Pozycja Pierwsze Dni Filmu „Kino i pojednanie” (La Salette, 29 kwietnia – 2 maja 2010 r.)Lis, Marek (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2010)Pozycja Sexual abuse of minors by clergy in cinematography: unrecognized signs of the timesLis, Marek (The Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow, 2022)Contemporary theologians apply the historic notion of loci theologici also to media and film. Films that show the Church in a critical way are also theologically significant. Therefore, one should be aware of the appearance of documentaries and feature films, which raise the issue of sexual abuse against the youngest (paedophilia) also in the Church. The article presents the most important films, produced since the end of the 20th century, whose authors present the crime of paedophilia, its victims, the mechanisms leading to its concealment and silence not only in the Church, but also in the media and society. Films about paedophilia, which are a recognisable voice of victims in the public space, a cry for truth and justice, can also be useful tools for media education.Pozycja Sprawa arcybiskupa Marcela Lefebvre’a.
