    This study aims to address a concern: to know how to contextualize any theological discourse. In this sense, it tackles the stakes of Christian belief in a world marked by fake news. While establishing from the outset that the existence of fake news is intrinsically linked to humanity, but that today, their virality is concomitant with the evolution of digital, the examples analysed in this article show that fake news also remains in Africa a sociopolitical and media phenomenon with multiple impacts. It is in this context of the issues of faith in Africa in the face of false news that the study examines the symbolic richness of the Christian tradition to name the false and its conception of the truth before formulating, from an ecumenical and interreligious perspective, avenues of reflection for the faith as an act of discernment in its encounter with fake news.
