Pozycja Intelletto e spirito. La via segreta di DioNanni, Gabriele (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2018)The article describes the action of the Holy Spirit within a human being − through the intellect and beyond the intellect. Describes the three experiences of the Carmelite saints: M. Magdalena de Pazzi (16th c.), Maria Baouardy (19th c.) and Edyta Stein (20th c.). The first two suffered from temporal diabolical oppressions. The author of the text explains that at some moments God may suspend human reason to protect a person on the spiritual plane. The hardest experiences − if they are lived with God − allow us to come to a deep unity with Him, to the transforming unification.Pozycja La possessione demoniaca nei santiNanni, Gabriele (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2019)Very rare are the saints experiencing possession. Even less often they are documented in writing. Of course, there are testimonies that the Saints were violently attacked by a demon, but very little is said about cases of possession or enslavement. There is extensive documentation of two cases of people proclaimed saints – two Carmelite nuns: Saint. Maria Magdalena de ’Pazzi (1566-1607) and Saint. Maria Baouardy (1846-1878), “Little Arab Woman”. The example of the Saints who were temporarily possessed during their lives creates a rich source of very important and practical information about God’s power and the role of Satan in the economy of human salvation. This information can talk to the theological reflection and to the exorcists themselves, and also – as a consolation – for all who experience similar states. Saints possessed by a demon teach us how and why this happens, as well as testify that above all there is a merciful and powerful God who saves man.Pozycja Le prove connesse con la lotta spirituale per la liberazione dell’uomo dall’influsso del demonioNanni, Gabriele (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2020)The author intends to introduce a theological reflection on the experience of exorcists and possessed by the devil, regarding the temptations and trials that incur in the exorcist and liberation prayer. As for the exorcist or someone who has a charism of liberation, the first temptation comes from the root of pride, which pushes to identify themselves with the assignment or charisma that has been received. It is therefore important to qualify who the exorcist is and who can perform exorcisms. Does the gap between the institution of the ministry and the charism justify a direct commission from God? With regard to the person attacked by the devil, the duration and intensity of the sufferings lead to loneliness and despair, with the loss of the theological virtues, especially of hope, which is the ultimate goal of the devil. Temptations are actually the way to defeat the devil, where the essence of exorcism, in addition to the form of direct command, finds its fulfillment in conformation to the cross of Christ. The exorcist configured to Christ is the true liberator of souls with Jesus and the possessed person is the true crucified with Jesus. Both contribute to the defeat of the devil and to the glory of God.Pozycja Riforma dei processi di nullità del matrimonio: una riforma teologica?Nanni, Gabriele (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2021)The article is a legal and theological analysis of Pope Francis “Mitis Iudex Dominus Jesus” document reforming the canons of the Code of Canon Law on marriage annulment cases (September 8, 2015). He shows its advantages and positive effects for a more efficient process of declaring marriage annulment, and draws attention to its theological and ecclesial novelty that raises questions. These questions require answers from the Church, bishops and theologians collaborating with the Pope.
