Jana Pawła II, 2008)The Council’s Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation in number 21 points out that the Church has always venerated the Divine Scriptures just as she venerates the Body of the Lord, as they are the true Word of God. The Divine Scriptures are considered the supreme rule of faith, the energy and support of the Church. The Divine Scriptures are the food of the soul and the source of the spiritual life for members of the Church. Not only does the Bible teach man about God, but also gives him life and salvation, while forming him anew. By revealing the unchangeable word of God the Bible reveals the Salutary Presence of God among people. In times of the crisis of values and leaving the Church, one can never overestimate the Bible: it should be presented to the faithful as the living and effective word of God. The analysis of the biblical texts on creation leads to a conclusion that the Bible puts man in a privileged position and at the same time makes him responsible for the world. Man created in the image and likeness of God is to rule the world, which does not only imply the right to use the resources of the Earth to satisfy his needs, but also man’s responsibility for the world’s present and future. One cannot find any approbation for unlimited domination of man over the world in those biblical texts that deal with man’s role and place in the created world. Jana Pawła II, 2012)The Holy Scriptures not only show the truth about the creation of the world but also teaches that God constantly supports the world in its existence and cares about it. The article, which is an analysis of the Wisdom texts of the Old Testament, deals with God’s care of the world. Its first manifestation is the establishment of an unshakeable order of functioning of the world. God set the world in motion so that it would never be shaken, which guarantees the correct functioning of the world. God’s care of the world is also expressed by the way it is affected by various symptoms of the Creator’s goodness. It is God who sends the rain and sunshine and decides about the crops and man’s life. A sign of God’s goodness and favour is God’s patience with which he treats the world. The belief in the Creator’s constant love and care of the world is particularly relevant these days when some old deistic concepts are coming back. The world and man have not been left alone.
