Pozycja Aby uwyraźnić zło grzechu. Funkcja cytatu Rdz 2,24 w argumentacji tekstu 1 Kor 6,15-17Pindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2006)The paper includes an analysis of text 1 Cor 6,15-17 with stress put on the role of the quotation from Gen 2, 24 in the argumentation. Firstly, the borders of the text under analysis were defined (6, 15-17) and observations resulting from the usage of meaningful terms were collected. Both within the verses 6,15, and 6, 16-17 there exists a concentric symmetry; in the first case of the (a) (b) (c) (b') (a') type, while in the second, (a) (b) (a'). In verses 16-17 an essential role, from the perspective of the applied persuasion, is played by the recalled phrase from Gen 2, 24. It constitutes a point of reference in the structure of concentric symmetry (nucleum) and scripturial argument to justify impropriety of such a sexual act of a Christian with a woman, which is sinful. Contrary to the original context (Gen 2, 24) and unlike in other places of the New Tesament, where this text is referred to as well (Mt 19, 5-6, Mk 10, 7-8; Eph 5, 31), in the fragment under analysis (1 Cor 6,15-18) the recalled phrase was used to emphasize a new identification, which a Christian acquires, when, through a sexual act, he unites with a woman in an adulterous way.Pozycja Biblia między oknem a lustrem. Wykorzystanie metod naukowej egzegezy do lektury duchowejPindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2006)The paper deals with the possibilities of employing the results of methods of scientific exegesis in personal reading of the Bible, prayer, meditation and contemplation. Presented possibilities have been written in a comparison in which the Bible is treated as a window or a mirror. As the first example, the fragment from Mt 9, 9 was given, together with its interpretation, made with the help of historical and critical method and evangelical meditation, which allows personal meeting with Christ. In the second example, a reference was made to the fragment from 1 Cor 12-14, its literary analysis and St. Theresa's recognition of herself in chapter 12 of this Letter. In the summing up part, the author points out the conditions relating to a possibility of overcoming the limitations of scientific methods of exegesis and the well-known, also in Poland, application of the proposals described in the paper. Pozycja Charakter narracyjny partii Ga 1,13 - 2,14Pindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2002)The paper discusses some literary issues connected with the narrative character of Paul's exceptional text – his auto-narrative in the Letter to the Galatians (1, 11 - 2, 14). The following matters are presented: Author, reader and the process of reading (1), Literary problems (2), Environment (3), Personae dramatis (4), Relationships among persons (5), Point of view (6), Influence of the text (7). Just as the text originated in the context of disputes within the Church, so now it arouses strong emotions and excites various comments, especially in a situation of new conflicts and disputes. References to the rules of narration present in the text enable us to read it in a more objective way.Pozycja Chrystus arcykapłan wobec doświadczeń ludu według Listu do HebrajczykówPindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1993)Pozycja Czy Jan Paweł II uwzględnia feministyczne podejście w interpretacji tekstu biblijnego?Pindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2003)The paper assesses the presence of a feminist approach in John Paul Il's statements, as seen in his texts dealing with the event of Exodus. To begin with, however, three trends of a feminist theology as presented in a document An Interpretation of The Bible in Church are dealt with. To illustrate the case, two examples of a feminist approach are recalled: the one expressing the neo-orthodox trend and a critical one. In a popular science commentary of A. Spreafico concerning the Book of Exodus there appeared many important notions which stress the role of women in objecting to homicidal plans of the pharaoh and in saving Moses' life. In a contemporary pseudo-epigraph written by E. Schirmer the neoorthodox feminist trend takes over, which enables the reader to get acquainted with events known from the Bible, but formulated in a way which can be termed: “What would happen if Miriam's notes were found when she experienced such perplexities as are now shared by some feminist theologians.” John Paul Il's statements recalled in this context show a different kind of feminist sensitivity, based on the Biblical anthropology, whose core is the Gospel and the first chapters of the Book of Genesis. As a result of reviewing various statements of the pope on the subject of Genesis it can be concluded that it does not belong to the leading ones or the ones undertaken with predilection. The history of redemption, Christocentrism, Virgin Mary, the Decalogue and the Covenant are all essential keys, which John Paul II stresses.Pozycja „Da gingen ihnen die Augen auf und sie erkannten ihn”. Die Analyse Lk 24, 13-35 und die Wirkungsgeschichte anhand der Werke Rembrandts van RijnPindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2005)Pozycja Gatunek retoryczny i dispositio Listu do GalatówPindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2000)Having discussed a historical and critical method, which is both standard and fundamental for a contemporary exegete, a document “The Interpretation of the Bible in Church” mentions three “new methods of literary analysis”. “Rhetorical analysis” is number one. The last is a method relating to the rules of Greek and Roman rhetoric, the new rhetoric and the research of structures pertinent to the Semitic ways of text building. The indispensability of rhetorical analysis in the studies of Biblical texts is justified by pointing to persuasive character of the written word of God, hence the necessity of knowing rhetoric on the part of everyone who deals with exegesis. The text of the Papal Biblical Committee gives one, but symptomatic, as far as Church documents are concerned, limitation of methodological nature – rhetorical analysis is to be conducted in a critical way, so that it can be incorporated in the results of scientific exegesis. Two issues connected with use of antique rhetoric are discussed in the article: the definition of the genre and dispositio. The specification made in accordance with chronology shows that the dispositio which enclosed the whole letter to Galatians in rhetorical frames of speech did not withstand criticism. Little is explained by the dispositio which assume the outline of a letter disregarding the analysis of the BODY. The specification alone shows that – independently of the accuracy of division borders – the dispositio in which the epistolary character is taken into consideration and the structure of reasoning in the BODY of the Letter is shown provide good orientation and help to understand the Letter. It is a pity that the discussion is held almost exclusively in English and that not all publications worthy of reading are taken into consideration. A significant example is the work of Ph. H. Kern, in which – considering its subject matter – one would expect references to important foreign writings. Actually, there is no reference to any work of A. Pitta or even to R.D. Anderson, who writes in English.Pozycja Głoszenie Ewangelii w kontekście praktyki i myślenia magicznego. Na podstawie Dz 8, 4-13Pindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Gminy żydowskie Macedonii i Achai na szlaku Pawła ApostołaPindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1998)The article discusses the activity of Apostle Paul in the two provinces: Macedonia and Achai. The facts found in the Acts, Paul's Letters, writings of ancient authors and excavated finds constitute the grounds for the description of his missionary activity. The article calls the reader's attention predominately to the relationship between Paul and Jewish communities both at the stage of establishing churches and later, the data on the period permitting. To an extent greater than in Asia, the activity in Macedonia and Achai is connected with the listeners of Jewish origin.Pozycja Granice wolności w odniesieniu do ciała według 1 Kor 6,12-14Pindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2005)In the closed and coherent unit of argumentation under analysis (I Cor. 6, 12-14) freedom in relation to using one's body must be understood as the freedom of a person to keep oneself against all types of enslavement (cf. 6, 12), but also as such surrendering to Christ, in which He is the disposer of the person, including his/her body as the integral part. An anthropological reason of the error of addressees of Paul's argumentation is their incorrect reference to human body, a deeper theological reason – the lack of consequence between faith and its moral implications. In his moral teaching the Apostle Paul invariably – as seen in the fragment under analysis – refers to the preached kerygma and its basic subject matter, simultaneously, however, his argumentation reveals an ability for good analysis of the message carried by the words used in the circles for which he addresses his reasoning.Pozycja H.-J. Narracja Dziejów Apostolskich i WirkungsgeschichtePindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II w Krakowie, 2011)The article contains the analysis of the message of three texts of the Acts (9: 1-19; 22: 3-21; 26: 12-19) and its Wirkungsgeschichte. The whole history of Polish literature knows only five poets who were inspired by the text of Saul’s conversion. All of them published their poems in the second half of the 20th century. The Damascus road experience and Saul’s call was described by Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna, Roman Brandstaetter, Anna Kamieńska, Janusz St. Pasierb and Jan Turnau. The common theme is Saul’s conversion but each of poet pays attention to another aspect of apostle’s change.Pozycja Kapłańsko-ofiarniczy charakter egzystencji wierzącego w Ewangelię. Firstly, there is no standard nomenclature relating to various elements of composition, e. g., for some authors the ABA construction is concentric symetry, for others, chiasmus. The ABB'A' construction is described as chaismus or reversed symetry. A coherent suggestion regarding nomenclature – having considered the history of the problem first – is given by R. Meynet in his textbook publication on literary structures, which distinguishes at the same time the level of “relations between linguistic elements” from “composition figures”. Secondly, it seems that it is necessary to establish principles of considering some regularity in the construction of the text as an actual composition figure, to eliminate optionality. Principles relating to chiasmus formulated some time ago (N. W. Lund) are now being discussed. Thirdly, in addition to establishing the steps of creating a method of discovering composition figures, it is necessary to define a method of interpreting die discovered structures – so that they are coherent with the procedures of exegesis.Pozycja Model ustanowienia czy przezwyciężenia kryzysu w rozwoju (Dz 6,1-7)?Pindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1995)Pozycja Mowa na Areopagu w ujęciu św. Łukasza i Jana Pawła II. Analiza Dz 17,16-34 oraz WirkungsgeschichtePindel, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 2005)Analysis of the pericope (Acts 17, 16-34) leads to a conclusion that the report of the Apostle's stay in Athens is the work of Luke. The auditorium presented by him on the Areopagus is to be representative for the educated circles of pagan environment, while Paul's address becomes a paradigm of evangelization in such an environment. The Apostle in his speech expresses relevant biblical truths using notions universally understood and well-known in the philosophy of the day, however, he does not betray the revealed truth. His reference to his listeners' outlook constitutes a starting point for the later corrections, especially with reference to the nature of God and the relation of the Creator to creation and eschatology. The entire speech of Paul is not yet another invitation for discussion but the preaching of faith in the biblical sense, which should result in a conversion. The Apostle was presented as a professionally prepared and uncomprimizing preacher of the revealed truth, while his listeners represent possible approach to keryssein Research of the influence of the text under analysis (Wirkungsgeschichte) on the person of John Paul II and his teaching leads to a conclusion that the pericope (Acts 17,16-34) had a considerable influence on the directions which he formulated for the modern evangelization and the engagement of Christians in the world. In his reading of the pericope Acts 17, 16-34 the pope draws our attention to a necessity of respecting every culture and person who lives in it, whether he becomes an addressee of the Gospel, a partner in a dialogue, a potential ally in building a more humane and just community or not. Paul's inculturation of the biblical message constitutes for John Paul II an incentive to enter various contemporary areopaguses with the rules of the Gospel always in a way understandable for contemporary man and faithful to the truth of the Revelation. The pope draws special attention to the presence of the believers in mass media, which he names the most important contemporary areopagus. John Paul II extended the meaning of the term “Areopagus” The pope relates it not only to keryssein preaching of faith but to any educational and pedagogical activity, creation of culture, participation in the media and to undertaking joint responsibility in the social and political sphere.Pozycja Naturalny język semantyczny jako narzędzie ekskulturacji.
