    The incarnation of Jesus Christ is closely related with the Divine motherhood of Virgin Mary. She was chosen to bear the incredible dignity of Mother of God – Theotokos. The matter is reflected on very clearly in the teaching of St. Cyril, bishop of Alexandria. Mary and Jesus are bonded with mysterious ties of motherhood and filiation. Thus, it is the matter of appearance of God’s Word on Earth. Owing to Mary, God became a man and according to Fathers of the Church, her motherhood is rooted in and is the ideal sign of real faith. St. Cyril of Alexandria, who had a significant impact on the Council of Ephesus in A.D. 431, preaches about this matter in this teaching.

    The contemporary Church urges all the believers to take up mental conversion, which is to re-realize their identity and the message that flows from it to the work of evangelization. One of the ways of pastoral conversion is to take five steps that symbolize the first five letters of the alphabet – A, B, C, D, E. To become an authentic evangelizer, one should adore God first, pray, then be a brother and sister to people, try to practice Christian Caritas and feel the disciple of Jesus. Only when these steps are taken will a believer, by God’s Grace, become a true evangelizer.

    The Synod of the Bishops concerning youth ministry, which took place in 2018, points out that pastoral ministry conducted among young people should take place primarily on the parish level as part of the ordinary ministry. However, salutary activity of the Church among youth requires also the presence of extraordinary, categorical ministry elements, which should happen through proper preparation of the priest himself and the animators that are helping him. Such activity can contribute to effectiveness of conducted pastoral actions. Without doubts it seems that the vision and strategy of ministry conducting on the level of diocese, deanery and parish, as well as the knowledge of spiritual condition of young people, their difficulties and living environment are necessary. The youth ministry in the Diocese of Opole is trying to answer to this challenges and through various types of initiatives and Christian constant formation desires to help the young people and accompany them to the meeting with the person of Jesus Christ.
