A wide range of operational measures of the various institutions that were taken against seminaries in Poland resulted from the fundamental assumption, backed by the experience of successive years of state in the system of people’s power, by which the Roman Catholic Church was the most serious threat to the communist regime. Prepared over the years, the operational work plans of different departments and faculties of the security apparatus responsible for the affairs of the Catholic Church continues to refer to the specific circumstances and characterized it as an organization with a unified, hierarchical, centralized and compact structure, through which it operates in the sphere o f ideological and social -political. This view contributed to invoke a variety of institutions, through which sought to recognize the reality of the Church and to limit its scope of impact on society. It is the Commission for the Clergy at the Central Committee, the highest state authorities indicate the main directions of work in the relationship with the Church, and applied them in detail in 1950 created the Office of Religious Affairs. Learning from such a dramatic heritage of our past and the efforts of the entire seminary community will lead to situation that God using human beings made the Warsaw-Prague Seminar large and vibrant community of love for the church complex and mutual respect. Then, interest in our seminar for current special services would become even obvious.

The Warsaw Prague district from the very beginning of its history was connected with the life of The Roman Catholic Church. One of the proofs of systematic growth of faith is the development of parish organizing on a particular area. Supporting the discussion of the following issue by the maps of Warsaw makes the special condition of the territorial development of the right bank side of the Vistula River, simply visible which was tightly connected with the establishment of the numerous parishes on the area of our district over the 20th century.

n the recent years different attitudes and comments of the representatives of Russian Orthodox Church concerning the activity of Roman Catholic Church could have been observed. The majority of these opinions contained a negative evaluation of catholic initiatives, frequently regarded as an intervention into strictly orthodox dimension of religious life in Russia. A slight change in the relationship resulting from Patriarch’s Aleksy II death and subsequent Metropolitan’s Kirill election has not solved all the problems. Actual relations between the two Churches are contingent upon the variety of long-term relationship between the faithful from different Christian confessions in Russia. When catholic diocesan structures in Russia have been re-established and Pope John Paul II nominated the new bishops (1991) creating apostolic administratures in 1991 and 1999, the orthodox Church accused Catholics of endangering the Orthodox way of life. Such beliefs grew stronger after the ecclesiastical structures at the diocesan level were created in Russia. As these have come into existence on 11 January 2002, Russian Church authorities expressed their indignation and recognized the Holy See’s activity as a manifestation of the proselytic expansionism of Catholic Church.
