Pozycja Kuszenie i wystawienie na próbę. Szkice nowotestamentalnego obchodzenia się z tematem budzącym niepokójWeidemann, Hans-Ulrich (Wydawnictwo Pallottinum, 2020)The article analyzes the two main scenes in the Synoptic Gospels where Jesus is portrayed in a situation of temptation: the accounts of Jesus’ wilderness temptation in the Gospels of Mark and Matthew (with a short glimpse on Luke), and the Markan account of Jesus’ Prayer in Gethsemani (with a short glimpse on John). In addition to that, the treatment of the temptation in the letter to the Hebrews is correlated with the Gospels’ narrative accounts.Pozycja „Lamentowanie pozostawiamy kobietom” (Platon). Łzy Jezusa w Nowym TestamencieWeidemann, Hans-Ulrich (Wydawnictwo Pallottinum, 2021)The article focuses on the three narrative passages in the New Testament where Jesus is described as weeping and shedding tears: Luke 19, 41-44; Hebrews 5, 7-8, and John 11, 33-36. These scenes are contextualized within a gender specific „history of tears“ (Hans van Wees). Since they never provide a direct access to his emotions and all stand in some tension with a masculinity of self control, the reasons for depicting a crying hero, it is argued, have to be deduced from the texts’ christological message.
