Historia magistra vitae: solidarietas versus caritas
Wysocki, Artur (Księgarnia Św. Jacka, 2009)
The purpose of this paper is to present the process that led the principle of solidarity, initially pointed against the Church and her essential value of charity, to be gradually incorporated into the social teaching of the Church, and become one of her fundamental principles and values. In particular, the origins of the principle and an important role of pope Pius XI at the beginning of the process are underlined, all the more since his contribution into social teaching is neither well known nor appreciated. The importance of the conception and principle of solidarity in the social teaching of the Church has grown over the last few decades and is now uncontestable. Nevertheless, to be reminded of the beginnings of this process make us aware that the social teaching needs continually to face the reality of the modern world with an open mind and free from fear.

Humanity, Agency and the Transcendent Concern
Wysocki, Artur (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2019)
The main purpose of this article is to consider the merits of including the transcendent concern in the set of ultimate concerns of human life as they are understood by M. Archer. In the first place, the author discusses Archer’s definition of that concern presented in the scientist’s works, and then presents a broader understanding of that concept highlighting its significance for man and his social life by the prism of its influence on human agency. Finally, the author discusses the relationships between particular concerns with special emphasis on the transcendent one and provides the final conclusions.

Kontrola a zaufanie w relacjach społecznych. Wokół problematyki urzędowej kontroli żywności
Wysocki, Artur (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2016)
The question of control in social relations provokes a great deal of extreme emotions. However, its proper understanding and use is important in the perspective of establishing the right social order. Nevertheless, such control cannot restrict the functioning of entities in social life to the utmost degree possible, or it will limit and inhibit rather than properly stimulate and guide development. Social relationships must be based on trust enhanced by appropriate use of control instruments. Control in food industry is of particular importance here as food production directly affects the life and health of consumers. In Poland, there are many institutions involved in official food control whose actions, however, are not fully coordinated and require improvement. It is important, in particular, to strengthen the authority of those institutions and increase their focus on educational activities, at the same time creating appropriate food culture in the society, which would result in more effective cooperation with consumers in the control process and foster positive social bonds.

The Transcendence of the Person in Forgiveness. The Perspective of Relational Sociology
Wysocki, Artur (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2017)
The paper is focused on a very important aspect of building society and relationality, that is, forgiveness. This issue is quite often treated from the psychological, philosophical or theological perspectives, but it is still not sufficiently worked out in social sciences. Actually, it is also my point that no social theory should avoid this question, as it plays such an important role in social relations. As I will try to demonstrate, forgiveness has a special corrective character in human relationships as well as in building society and shaping human personality. The dynamics of forgiveness with its morphogenetic process, in a special way, transforms a person and his relations.
