Pozycja Akademickie pielgrzymki do Doliny Śmierci (1977–1982)Zmuda, Wenancjusz (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Stefana Kard. Wyszyńskiego, 2009)The author of the article presents the history of the Death Valley in Bydgoszcz, which at the beginning of World War II bore witness to mass executions of Polish people. He also discusses the origins of this site as a pilgrimage destination and a place of prayer for the residents of Bydgoszcz, and then moves on to explain the significance of the local Academic Ministry in the pilgrimages of the 1970s and 1980s. To justify his opinions, the author uses archival sources and also investigates secret police reports held in the Archives of the National Remembrance Institute (IPN).Pozycja Bydgoszczanie wobec Orędzia Biskupów Polskich do Biskupów Niemieckich z 1965 r. – relacja SBZmuda, Wenancjusz (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Stefana Kard. Wyszyńskiego w Bydgoszczy, 2014)The article offers an outline history of pastoral ministry addressed to Bydgoszcz students in view of surviving documents from communist Poland’s ruling party and secret police. A result of the author’s inquiry in the archival resources of the Institute of National Remembrance, the State Archives in Bydgoszcz and the Central Archives of Modern Records in Warsaw is his outline of the history of local pastoral care in 1964–1989 drafted by the hands of persecutors. The history of the student pastoral care community (SPCC) in Bydgoszcz is depicted as the Church’s response to the establishment of the city’s academic circle. The history encompasses the operation of two dioceses: the Archdiocese of Gniezno and the Diocese of Chełmno; the collective efforts of local diocesan and monastic clergy; and first and foremost the activities of Catholic students learning to take responsibility for themselves, their community, their homeland and the Church. It also covers the encounter between the SPCC and the local college environment, which in the communist period was actively involved in supporting social secularization and atheism promotion. Finally, the history records the surveillance of the city’s SPCC by the local Security Service, which employed secret agents in its persecution of pastoral care, thus condemning the community members to the status of second category citizens.Pozycja Konspiracyjne komplety filozoficzno-teologiczne w Bydgoszczy w latach 1941–1942Zmuda, Wenancjusz (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Studium historyczno-pastoralneZmuda, Wenancjusz (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Stefana Kard. Wyszyńskiego w Bydgoszczy, 2017)The article is a historical and pastoral study of the peregrination of the Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa in the Archdiocese of Gniezno in 1978–1979. The paper attempts to demonstrate and assess the peregrination, which was held from 21 May 1978 to 24 June 1979 and had a significant impact on the local church forty years ago, specifically the city of Bydgoszcz and the present-day shape of the Diocese of Bydgoszcz. The importance of studying this historical event is further stressed by the fact that the Diocese of Bydgoszcz will bear witness to another peregrination from 01 September 2018 to 06 April 2019. The peregrination of the Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa is an event that requires constant and profound consideration from theological and pastoral perspectives, so a historical study may prove helpful in this respect.
