The paper was written on the basis of a lecture delivered at the symposium held on the occassion of the first anniversary of Fr prof. S. Witek’s death. Fr Witek has not completed his handbook on moral theology and its part concerning particular problems remained only in the sphere of projects. The paper, then, is an attempt to interpret this model on the basis of various statements made by the professor himself: both in his papers and some hints in the published part of his handbook and the arrangement of „Christian Vision of Morality” The paper is also based on lecture notes, including notes made by the professor. A few versions of the supposed arrangement of the handbook have been distinguished here. They prove that this model has always been axiological. The paper attempts to evaluate the professor’s projects in view of postconciliar changes in moral theology. Despite the stated objections and doubts, the professor’s work has been evaluated as a considerable step forward in the development of the Polish theological-moral thought.
