Pozycja „Anglicanorum coetibus” wobec problemu anglikańskiej tożsamościSkładanowski, Marcin (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2010)Pozycja Arcybiskup na trudne lata powojenneNowosad, Sławomir (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2012)Pozycja Dokąd zmierza anglikanizm?Kopiec, Piotr (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2011)Pozycja Ekumenizm nieustającym imperatywemNowosad, Sławomir (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2012)Pozycja Eschatologia anglikańskaKopiec, Piotr (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2011)Eschatological question have a central place in the structure of faith. Asking about life after death is of deeply existential nature, connected with the most immanent human’s desires and hopes. In the structure of the theological systems of the Christian confessions however, eschatology stays behind, as it is treated as a non-scientific story. It concerns theology of all Christian churches. Anglican theology looks for the via media, a middle way between protestant and catholic traditions and compiles different trends of theological thinking. Its most appropriate description is provided by the rule of comprehensiveness, which means the inclusion into Anglican confession various attitudes toward theological questions. The rule of comprehensiveness refers also to the eschatology – within Anglican system one could find various images of heaven and hell and various ideas of life after death. Three main doctrines should be here enumerated – the universalism, which assumes salvation for all human beings, traditional belief on hell and the annihilation. Which one is preached depends often of the time and the social relation of epoch.Pozycja Konstytucja apostolska Benedykta XVI „Anglicanorum coetibus” i jej implikacje dla życia wspólnoty anglikańskiejKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2010)The article describes the new situation created by the publication of pope Benedict XVI’s Apostolic constitution “Anglicanorum coetibus”. As first there is a depiction of key-notions in Anglican theology, as well as the explanation where so called ‘Anglican traditionalists’ come from. In the next part the Author describes the situation of internal divisions in Anglican Communion caused by controversies over women’s ordination (in the past) and gay ordination and marriage (at present). On the basis of these statements the Author explains why the apostolic constitution “Anglicanorum coetibus” has been necessary and whom is it really addressed to. Then, we find the brief presentation of the content of “Anglicanorum coetibus”, followed by the description of first reactions from Anglican protagonists and adversaries of the papal document. The article next portrays the initiative of Anglican Global South as a response to regrettable developments in Anglican Communion. According to the Author the life-long solution for Anglicans may come with wide-spread adoption of the Anglican Covenant, strongly supported by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The solution opened by the papal constitution will probably atract only a small (about 0,5% of Anglican population) group of above named traditionalists. The article is summed-up by a bitter reflection about the lack of care for Christian unity in controversial decision-making by some Anglican (especially ECUSA) and protestant Churches.Pozycja What Happened to “Sola Scriptura”? How the Bible Was Used in the Fight for Women Priest and Bishops in the Anglican CommunionKantyka, Przemysław (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2012)In the article Author examines the traditional meaning of the formula sola Scriptura in the Anglican Church in the epoch of Reformation and confronts it with now-a-days use of the Bible in the process of decision-making in the matter of Church life and doctrine. The sample of this process is the adoption of women’s priestly and episcopal ordination in the Anglican Communion and especially in the Church of England. Christian denominations being reciprocally connected, the decisions taken in one confession do matter for the rest of the Christendom. This is proved by the substantial change introduced in the Anglican-Roman Catholic dialogue by the unilateral decisions of Anglicans to ordain women. The questioned decisions were taken however on the improper hermeneutics of biblical texts and on the presuppositions leading to dangerous intellectual short-cut. Thus the line of argumentation issued by Anglicans from the Bible omits what the Roman Catholic really stands for. The equal dignity of men and women proved by the biblical texts has never been denied by the Catholics. The argument important for the Catholics that the Church cannot change the will of Christ towards ordination has been simply by-passed by moving this subject from divine to human law.
