There has been a groving interests in various aspects of forgiveness in psychology from 10 years. The specialists in psychotherapy determined that the consequences of forgiveness are very beneficial for health, psyche and spiritual growth. We can differentiate a triad: to forgive someone – to accept forgiveness – to forgive oneself. The last mentioned forgiveness is the most difficult one. Forgiveness is decision and a process that is subject to a few prerequisites: resigning from taking revange, insight, aknowledging the dignity of the wrongdoer, and motivation based on moral and religious values. Various authors differentiate from a few to a dozen or so stages of forgiveness.
