W niniejszym artykule autor chce ukazać rolę i wpływ zgromadzeń zakonnych na rozwój czasopiśmiennictwa w Polsce przedrozbiorowej. Publikacja jest analityczną próbą zebrania i przedstawienia ówczesnych uwarunkowań w jakich rozwijała się prasa. Autor wskazuje na bliskie powiązania zgromadzeń zakonnych z dworem królewskim, a tym samym ich wpływ na ukazujące się w prasie treści.

The article shows the role of religious congregations in the development of press in Poland in the pre-partitioning times. The author outlines a range of economical and political conditions in which the form of the press of that time was being shaped. Furthermore, what is worth pointing out is the close connection between religious congregations and the court, which had a clear impact on the published content.
