Problemy wykładu homiletyki w seminarium duchownym

Abstract

In the light of the teachings of the Vatican Council II and the current theological reflection, teaching homileltlics in the seminaries has a very important role. Hamiletics, which was once reduced to mere Church rhetoric and was an auxiliary discipline – now is an integral part of the pastoral theology. The subject of homiletics is an academic reflection on the topic: in what way does the Church actualize itself today and builds itself into tomorrow by means of preaching the Gospel. With such an approach the preaching of the Church is anchored to the trinitarian dialogue and the whale of God’s salutary economy. Alumni should be acquainted with the biblical meaning of the words, With the role of the Holy Bible in preaching, with the very essence of preaching, expressed in actualizing God’s worlds and salutary acts, with the conditions of making God’s world present in the human word, with the meaning of the liturgical homily, etc. They should be also shown the mistagogic, dynamic and kerygmatic aspects of preaching. At the same time, in the seminaries attension should be paid to exercises conducted during the classes in homiletics. These exercises should develop in the alumni a practical ability to properly use the biblical sources, to give the preaching a kerygmatic character and to include the words preached into the whale of the conducted liturgical mystery. Finally, one must not forget about exercises in elocution and theory of communication.
