Wychowanie do kultury: przeszłość i teraźniejszość, pytania i propozycje

Abstract

Artykuł porusza wieloaspektowe zagadnienie. Jego fundament stanowią pojęcia „kultura”, „wychowanie”. Oba od starożytności stanowiły bardzo ważne zagadnienie teoretyczne i praktyczne w historii naszej cywilizacji. Wychowanie do kultury decyduje o ukształtowaniu człowieka i społeczeństwa. Po 1989 r. zaszły w Polsce i na świecie ogromne zmiany. W ich kontekście należy odpowiedzieć na pytanie: jaki ma być człowiek i jaką będzie tworzył przyszłość? A więc: jakie istnieją zagrożenia, możliwości, zadania i cele, jakie instytucje i drogi prowadzą do wychowania do kultury i przez kulturę?The article raises a multi-faceted issue which is based on the concepts of ‘culture’ and ‘upbringing’. These have been very important theoretical and practical issues in the history of civilisation since antiquity. Upbringing by culture determines the shaping of man and society. After 1989, huge changes took place in Poland and around the world. In this context, we should answer the questions of what man should be like and what future he will create. We should also ask about the threats, opportunities, tasks and goals of upbringing by culture and what institutions and ways lead to it.
