Znaki i symbole teologiczne w komunikacji liturgicznej

Abstract

The article is devoted to thcological signs and symbols used in liturgical-extra-verbal communication. It discusses four key elements of non-verbal communication, i.e. symbol, image, silence and testimony. The author remarks that appropriateness of liturgical dialog requires the use of those signs and symbols (in the so-called extra-verbal communication) included in the structure of the rite through which God speaks and acts, making salvation manifest (cf. LC 5). This salutary work is the act of God and people (cf. Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1069) who should join it by their personal involvement in liturgical communication.
