Teologia zwierząt Andrew Linzeya a nauczanie encykliki Laudato si’ papieża Franciszka

Abstract

W miarę aktualnego rozwoju zainteresowania kwestiami ekologicznymi wzrasta wrażliwość dotycząca zwierząt, również w obszarze nauk teologicznych. Niniejszy artykuł zestawia poglądy anglikańskiego teologa Andrew Linzeya zaprezentowane w pozycji Teologia zwierząt z wątkami teologicznymi odnoszącymi się do podobnego obszaru, zawartymi w encyklice papieża Franciszka Laudato si’. Oba teksty znacząco doceniają stworzenia inne niż człowiek jako byty mające wartość same w sobie i podkreślają wzajemne powiązanie wszystkich stworzeń, w tym człowieka, ze sobą nawzajem i z Bogiem. Zwracają uwagę, że wszelkie stworzenie istnieje dla Boga, a skutki wcielenia i odkupienia obejmują cały świat. Między poglądami A. Linzeya a myślą papieża pojawiają się też różnice, wynikające z odmiennej antropologii, która rzutuje na wątki dotyczące teologii zwierząt.

With the current development of interest in environmental issues, sensitivity regarding animals is increasing, also in the field of theological sciences. This article compares the views of Anglican theologian Andrew Linzey presented in Animal theology and the theological themes included in Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato si’ relating to a similar area. Both texts significantly appreciate beings other than humans as having value in themselves and emphasize the interconnectedness of all creatures, including humans, with each other and God. They indicate that all creation exists for God and that the effects of the incarnation and redemption cover the whole world. There are also some differences between A. Linzey’s views and Pope’s thought result from different anthropology that impinges on themes concerning animal theology.
