Od konfliktu do komunii. W kontekście luterańsko-katolickich obchodów 500-lecia Reformacji

Abstract

17 czerwca 2013 r. w Genewie i w Watykanie ogłoszono wspólny dokument teologów rzymskokatolickich i luterańskich pt.: Od konfliktu do komunii. Luterańsko-katolickie wspólne upamiętnienie Reformacji w 2017 r. Jego celem było głębsze, bezpośrednie przygotowanie luteranów i katolików do wspólnego upamiętnienia 500. rocznicy Reformacji. Przesłanie deklaracji stało się inspiracją dla przygotowania niniejszego opracowania. Nie chodzi w nim o szczegółowe omawianie dokumentu, ale przede wszystkim o sformułowanie, w oparciu o jego przesłanie, istotnych paradygmatów określających cel, okoliczności, zadania i perspektywy związane ze wspólnym obchodzeniem przez luteranów i katolików 500-lecia Reformacji. Za takie należy uznać: krytyczną ocenę przeszłości opartą na szacunku i pozbawioną uprzedzeń, otwartość na wzajemną wymianę duchowych darów, „oczyszczenie pamięci” i „leczenie ran” oraz otwartość na wspólne podejmowanie zadań. W oparciu o tak sformułowane paradygmaty autorzy dokumentu Od konfliktu do komunii wypracowali pięć ekumenicznych imperatywów określających charakter wspólnego upamiętniania 500. rocznicy Reformacji oraz ekumeniczne zobowiązania obydwu stron dialogu.

On June 17th 2013 in Geneva and Vatican City a common declaration from Roman-Catholic and Protestant theologians was issued. The document is entitled: From Conflict to Communion. Lutheran-Catholic Common Commemoration of the Reformation in 2017. Its main aim was a through and direct preparation of both the Lutherans and Catholics to the common commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. The message of the declaration became an inspiration of this study. We do not want to focus on its detailed discussion but to formulate – based on this message – some essential paradigms determining the goal, circumstances, tasks and perspectives linked with the common commemoration of the Anniversary. Among those we should acknowledge: the critical evaluation of the past, based on respect and deprived of mutual prejudices; opening for the mutual exchange of spiritual gifts; the “cleaning of memory” and “healing of wounds”; readiness for taking up the mutual tasks. The authors of the document, based on those paradigms, elaborated five ecumenical imperatives determining the character of the commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation and the ecumenical obligations of both sides of the dialogue.
