„Detronizacja” Jezusa Chrystusa Króla w odnowionej liturgii Kościoła? W odpowiedzi na niektóre interpretacje

Abstract

For some time there have been voices, especially in the circles of the so called traditionalists, that the Second Vatican Council and the following renewal of the liturgy have brought about the “dethroning” of Jesus Christ. The evidence for this theory is allegedly to be found in the modifications introduced to the Mass form of the Feast of Christ the King. Therefore, in this article we analyse the theological questions concerning the new name of the holiday: “the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe”, and its place in the new Church calendar as the last Sunday of the liturgical year. We also work on the juxtaposition of the Mass form applied before the Council and the one modified in the new missal. From this research we draw a conclusion that the theology and the message of the Feast of Christ the King not only have not been altered in any way, but on the contrary, they have been clearly emphasised, drawing inspiration from the New Testament. That is why the allegations made about the new form of liturgy are merely ideological in character.

Od pewnego czasu pojawiają się, zwłaszcza w kręgach tzw. tradycjonalistów, zarzuty, jakoby efektem II Soboru Watykańskiego oraz przeprowadzonej w jego duchu odnowy liturgicznej dokonano „detronizacji” Jezusa Chrystusa. Dowodzić tego miałyby być modyfikacje wprowadzone do formularza święta Jezusa Chrystusa Króla. W artykule poddajemy więc analizie teologicznej zagadnienia dotyczące nowej nazwy święta: „Jezusa Chrystusa, Króla Wszechświata”, i jego usytuowania w nowym kalendarzu kościelnym jako ostatniej niedzieli roku liturgicznego. Zajmujemy się ponadto porównaniem formularza mszalnego stosowanego przed soborem z formularzem zmodyfikowanym w nowym mszale. Z przeprowadzonych analiz wynika nie tylko to, że teologia i przesłanie święta Jezusa Chrystusa Króla nie zostały w niczym zmienione, ale zostały wyraźniej uwypuklone, czerpiąc treści z Nowego Testamentu. Stawiane więc zarzuty pod adresem odnowy liturgicznej mają jedynie charakter ideologiczny.
