Le tentazioni di Gesù in Mt 4,1-11

Abstract

Perykopa o kuszeniu Jezusa została zapisana we wszystkich Ewangeliach synoptycznych. Stanowi potwierdzenie, że scena ta jest jednym z kluczowych momentów życia Jezusa, który bezpośrednio poprzedza Jego publiczną działalność. W tym artykule zatrzymaliśmy się przede wszystkim na wersji Mateusza 4-1-11, wykazując podobieństwa z tekstem Łukaszowym. Natomiast Ewangelista Marek ogranicza się tylko do informacji o fakcie kuszenia Jezusa (1,12-13). Aby właściwie zrozumieć orędzie tego fragmentu, został on poddany dobrze znanej metodzie historyczno-krytycznej, zatrzymując się na najważniejszych jej etapach: od krytyki tekstu, przez krytykę literacką i ustalenie formy, aż do krytyki redakcyjnej. Na zakończenie zostały zarysowane idee teologiczne zawarte w Mt 4,1-11 i w tekstach paralelnych. Końcowy wniosek praktyczny jest następujący: Jezus Chrystus został poddany próbie i był kuszony przez diabla. Jest oczywiste zatem, że każdy chrześcijanin, dążąc do świętości, na tej drodze spotyka wiele prób i pokus, które musi przezwyciężać.

The pericope of the temptation of Jesus is recorded in all the Synoptic Gospels. It is a confirmation that this scene is one of the key moments in the life of Jesus that immediately precedes his public activity. In this article we have based primarily at the Matthew 4-1-11 version, showing similarities with the Luke’s text. Mark the Evangelist, on the other hand, limits himself only to information about the fact of Jesus’ temptation (1:12-13). In order to understand the message of this passage properly, it has been subjected to the well-known historical-critical method, stopping at its most important stages: from textual criticism, through literary criticism and the establishment of form, to editorial criticism. It concludes by outlining the theological ideas contained in Mt 4:1-11 and the parallel texts. The final practical conclusion is as follows: Jesus Christ was tested and was tempted by the devil. It is clear, therefore, that every Christian striving for holiness encounters many trials and temptations along the way, which he or she must survive.
