Abstrakt
This article tries to describe the tasks for religions in reports for Club of Rome. This famous non-profit organization was founded in 1968 by A. Peccei and A. King to observe the problems emerging in the world problématique – deterioration of the environment, crisis of institutions and governance, uncontrolled urban spread, overpopulation and growing difference between rich and poor over the world. So humanity faces very deep crisis and one of the most important sign of this problem is questioning of the values of society. Text consists of five parts. After introducing story of the CoR and idea of problématique, religions wefts in reports of many authors are presenting. E. Laszlo finds religion as the one of basic power of building global solidarity. A. King and B. Schneider place traditional values and religion as part of new world order. Y. Dror presents religion based morality as part of governance advancement. E. Borgese-Mann exams greatest religions as economical inspirations for ocean-related goods. A. Schaff deals with the vision of religion as treatment for boredom of postindustrial societies. P.L. Berger exams role of in mediation and solution of normative conflicts. Polish Association for the Club of Rome finds Christian view and inspirations for future Europe. The last part of the text confronts these visions with the outlook upon religions in documents of the II Vatican Council and teachings of John Paul II.
