Teatr kultów transowych

Abstract

Teatr jest zjawiskiem kulturowo określonym, ograniczonym terytorialnie i i historycznie. Nie ma jednak kultury, która nie praktykowałaby jakichś widowisk. Pośród widowisk kulturowych na szczególną uwagę zasługują kulty transowe. Można w nich dostrzec wiele elementów teatralnych. Tancerz kultów transowych traci swoją tożsamość na rzecz innej tożsamości. W transie rytualnym mityczna postać wchodzi na miejsce zwykłej osobowości człowieka. W przeciwieństwie do aktora, tancerz transowy wykazuje jednak amnezję w sprawie tego, co się z nim działo w toku rytualno-mitycznej akcji. Teatr kulturowy nie jest teatrem odgrywanym, lecz przeżywanym. Autor artykułu koncentruje się na trzech wybranych kultach transowych: dionizyzmie, tarantyzmie i kulcie candomble.

The theater is a culturally specific phenomenon, limited territorially and historically. But there is no culture that does not engage in any performances. Among the cultural performances, the trance cults attract special attention. In them one can see many elements of this kind of theatre. Trance cults dancer loses its identity to another identity. In a trance ritual, a mythical figure takes the place of a normal human personality. The dancer, in contrast to the actor, shows a trance amnesia regarding what had happened to him during the ritual-mythic action. The cult theater is not played out but lived through. The article focuses on three trance cults: the bacchic cult, the tarantism and the candomble worship.
