Pustelniczy charyzmat Karmelu w świetle najdawniejszych dokumentów Zakonu

Abstract

Charyzmat Karmelu stanowi ciągle żywą inspirację do życia kontemplacyjnego w samotności i oddzieleniu od świata – niezależnie od tego, czy ktoś należy do Zakonu, czy żyje na osobności w świecie. Dziś również, tak jak w czasach proroków, Ojców Pustyni i dawnych eremitów z Góry Karmel, współcześni pustelnicy i pustelnice żyją w ciszy i samotności, przebywając nieustannie z Panem, który ich przynęcił i wyprowadził na pustynię, aby tam mówić do ich serc (por. Oz 2, 16). W niniejszym artykule na podstawie najdawniejszych pism karmelitańskich: Reguły św. Alberta, listu „Ignea sagitta” Mikołaja Francuza i dokumentu „De institutione primorum monachorum” ukazane zostaną główne elementy pustelniczego charyzmatu Karmelu. Należą do nich: powołanie do nieustannego przebywania z panem, naśladowanie Chrystusa modlącego się na górze, walka z mocami zła i kierownictwo Ducha Świętego.

The Carmelite charism is a constantly living inspiration for the contemplative life in the solitude and at the distance from the world – no matter someone belongs to the order or one lives alone in the world. Nowadays, so as in the times of prophets, desert fathers and ancient hermits of Mount Carmel, the contemporary hermits live in the solitude and silence, being always with the lord, who has allured them and led into the desert to speak to their hearts (cf. Hosea 2:16). On the base of the oldest Carmelite documents: St Albert’s Rule, „Ignea sagitta” by Nicolaus Gallus and the book of the first monks the main elements of the eremitical charism are considered. They are: vocation to the being always with the lord, imitation of Christ in his prayer on the mountain, fighting against the powers of evil, the life under direction of the Holy Spirit.
