Abstract

In the article author shows that the sources of Pauline theology were rather Jewish than Greek or Hellenistic. It is very important in this regard to investigate the education of Paul. The future Apostle to the Gentiles was educated in Jerusalem in the Pharisaic school. He probably acquired some knowledge of Greek and Hellenistic literature and philosophy, but we cannot assert that he was educated in the Hellenistic school. In his letters Paul uses Jewish rhetoric and he quotes the Hebrew Bible.
