Abstract

The author pressents die metaphysics American philosophers of these, who belong to school designated a Personalism and inspired by B.P. Bowne's (1847-1910). In three chapters the author describes their way of understanding the reality, the world which we experience and a person. This is a presentation of characteristic features exist three American personalists: B.P. Bowne, E.S Brightmana (1884-1953), R.T. Flewelling (1871-1960). These thinkers were looking for „the best” philosophy, which should oppose to atheism, materialism, sensualism and also, generally speaking, philosophical schools questioning the value of metaphysics. They show that the most real thing in the world, which we experience, are persons – in then the experience finds explanation and unity broken by the Cartesian idea.
