Symbolika i zastosowanie wybranych form czynnego uczestnictwa wiernych w liturgii mszalnej

Abstract

The aim of the study was to present the multi-faceted nature of the understanding of participation of the faithful in the liturgical celebration after the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican. In order to explore the subject matter thoroughly, the author shows the Biblical basis of participation in the Eucharist as well as the development of the concept of participation over various epochs of the Church’s existence. The theology behind the participation of the faithful in Mass is discussed on the basis of the analysis of the documents of Vatican II and on the basis of the attempt to explain the concept of participatio actuosa.
