Abstrakt
In contemporary controversies on the relationship between internal content of science and its social-cultural determinants many representatives of cognitive sociology argue that both the content of scientific theories and their growth can be adequately explained in the framework of sociological analysis. Many attempts at the so called demistification of traditional rationalistic illusions lead to various forms of irrationalism, being praised as a breakthrough philosophy of the new intellectual avanguarde. The methodological principle of arationality in its version defended by Larry Laudan is to establish the relationship between the internal and external factors in the process of the growth of science. This principle is particularly useful in metascientific reconstructions in the domain of formal and natural sciences. A modified interdisciplinary version of Laudaris principle is being proposed in the paper to define the relationships between rational and external factors in metascientific reconstructions of other disciplines.
