Znaki czasu dla katechezy w Polsce

Abstract

Rozeznawanie znaków czasu i wypracowywanie na nie odpowiedzi jest podstawowym warunkiem skutecznej działalności katechetycznej Kościoła adresowanej szczególnie do ludzi młodych. Z tego względu podjęcie refleksji naukowej nad tym zagadnieniem wydaje się nie tylko zasadne, ale wręcz konieczne. Na początku niniejszego artykułu przeprowadza się analizę znaczenia terminu „znaki czasu”. Następnie wskazuje i scharakteryzuje te znaki czasu, które wydają się współcześnie najbardziej istotne dla szeroko pojętej katechezy. Zwieńczeniem refleksji jest z kolei próba wypracowania odpowiedzi na przedstawione problemy.

Recognizing the signs of the times and responding to them is the basic challenge for maintaining the effectiveness of the Church’s catechetical activity, especially that addressed to young people. Therefore, making a scientific reflection on this issue seems not only justified, but even compulsory. At the beginning of this article, the meaning and implications of the phrase “signs of the times” is analyzed. Then these signs of the times, at least those which seem most important today with regard to the broadly understood catechesis, are identified and characterized. The conclusion of the reflection represents some attempt to formulate and develop effective answers to the presented problems.
