Abstrakt
Since the 1990s the global economy have undergone profound transformations that result from the acceleration of globalising processes. Globalisation itself is a multilevel process carried out today in all domains of life. In reference to the sphere of economic activity the concept of globalisation is identified with the process of integration of the national and regional markets in one global market of goods, services, and capital. The globalisation of economy poses new tasks an challenges not only to economic subjects but also to the states and international organisations. The study seeks to show the most important moral and social aspects of economic globalisation. The analyses and the assessment of globalisation, mainly based on the social teaching of John Paul II, allows us to state that it is one of the most controversial process of the contemporary world and. as such, constitute an important challenge of civilisation for the world economy in the beginning of the 21st century.
