Fotokast – między kreacją a manipulacją

Abstract

Konwergencja mediów stała się faktem, rzeczywistością, w której żyjemy i którą aktywnie tworzymy. Rozwój technologii, a co za tym idzie również mediów, nie pozostał bez znaczenia dla rozwoju i ewolucji gatunków dziennikarskich, w tym także radiowych. Jedną z coraz bardziej powszechnych hybryd gatunkowych są fotokasty, często określane także mianem reportaży multimedialnych. Nie da się zaprzeczyć, iż posiadają one ogromny walor poznawczy. słowo mówione, charakterystyczne dla reportażu radiowego, zostaje wsparte obrazem. Dzięki temu lepiej poznajemy bohatera i jego świat. Jednak i ta forma reportażowa nie jest wolna od manipulacji. Połączenie dwóch, jak mogłoby się wydawać, niemogących egzystować równocześnie gatunków – fotoreportażu i reportażu radiowego – stwarza nowe obszary dla manipulacji. Referat stanowi próbę analizy zjawiska manipulacji lub jej braku na wybranych przykładach.

Convergence of media has become a fact, a reality in which we live in and actively create. The development of technology, and consequently, media, has not been without significance for the development and evolution of journalism, as well as and radio genres. One of the most popular genre hybrids are photocasts, often referred to as multimedia reportages. Undoubtedly, they have an enormous cognitive value. The spoken word, characteristic of radio reportages, is supported with images, enabling us to get to know the main character and his world better. However, this reportage form is also not free from manipulation. The combination of two seemingly impossible to simultaneously co-exist genres – photo reportage and radio reportage – opens up new areas for manipulation. The paper attempts to analyze the phenomenon of manipulation and its absence on selected examples.
