dc.description.abstract | Perspectis omnibus sententiis, quae adhuc ad explicandam nominis Miriam etymologiam prolatae sunt, eisque ob parvam argumentorum gravitatem reiectis novum explicationis modum aggredimur. Sequentes alios linguae hebraicae doctores, secundam partem nominis — am — suffixum esse deminutivum putamus, quod olim nominibus propriis affigi solebat. Cum vero forma — am — in variis nominibus apud Canaanaeos usitatis occurrat, nomen, Miriam vetus nomen canaaniticum nobis esse videtur. Primam vocis partem mari a radice rawah derivare conantes, quae bibere, potare, inebriare significat, eam esse participium hiphil asserimus, quod prius sonabat: marwijjah. Secundum leges phoneticas: 1) littera w in initio syllabae, praeprimis ante semivocalem i, omittitur, 2) per haplologiam notissimam duplex jj simplificatur. Unde concludimus: nomen M i r i a m , revera M a r i a m pronuntiatum, significare puellam, quae libenter alios (homines, iumenta) potet potandoque delectet. Quia vero interdum in Sacra Scriptura vox rawah habet sensum metaphoricum (delectare, gaudio afficere) et textus quidam ex tabulis Teli Amarna (147) hunc sensum pro ille tempore approbat, maiore adhuc iure affirmare licet: Mariam secundum verbi sensum etymologicum esse virginem delectantem parentes. Quapropter optimam nominis B. M. V. explicationem dicerem verba, quibus in Litaniis Lauretanis salutatur: CAUSA NOSTRAE LAETITIAE. | other |
