Kapłaństwo w perspektywie Emaus. Profetyczny wymiar dialogu ze współczesną kulturą w ujęciu Jana Pawła II

Abstract

The bishop of Tarnów in his paper presents the Pope's vision of priesthood open to dialogue with the modern world which has been subjected to profound cultural and social transformations. The author opposes deep conflicts in contemporary culture to the John Paul's view of the great integration in Christ. After presenting papal efforts to integrate our divided culture on the basis of Christian humanism, the author discloses theological presuppositions inspiring this search for unity. The role of hope, suffering and sacrifice is stressed in this framework of personalistic epistemology in which one discovers his deep self on the way of total confidence to God.
