Religijność spójna. Pojęcie i pomiar

Abstract

According to a common accepted opinion in sociology and pastoral theology concerning the phenomenon of selective attitude towards the official ecclesiastical teaching – is this paper dealing with phenomenon of the coherent religiosity. Religiosity can be considered as an attitude in a twofold aspect. Religiosity cohesive in an objective sense coincides with the officially accepted beliefs of the Church. The subjective point of view of the cohesive religious attitude points out the conformity of cognitive component of the attitude concerning the direction and intensity in all aspects of the true religious life. The measurement was made in a scale (SSR) of 44 units (items) for measuring. As a result of the factor analysis (N = 300) using the method VARIMAX was an identification of three rotated factors – dimensions of fundamental beliefs (Christocentric, eschatic), convictions ecclesiastical and theoretical. The analysis of the content of the beliefs belonging to several factors permits to be persuaded that on the basis of discovered dimensions can be found 3 types of experience: existential, social, intellectual which are mediating in approval of religious beliefs, and are influential in performing the function of selectivity and the shaping of religious behaviour. The scale has an experimental characteristic trying to satisfy the statistical criterions and can be used to discern the variety of people with the cohesive or non-cohesive religiosity or to help for a description and analysis of religiosity.
